Built a product-wide design system from scattered patterns — tokens, accessible components, and documentation that three product teams now build on without reinventing the basics.
The work
Process
Inventoried 40+ inconsistent buttons and inputs across the product, consolidated them to one audited set, and documented usage with do/don't examples. Stood up a versioned library with weekly office hours and a lightweight review process.
Outcome
New feature UI now ships roughly 30% faster, accessibility regressions fell sharply, and every team defaulted to reusing audited components instead of rebuilding them.
