0-to-1 product design
New products from a blank page — problem framing, the core object model, flows, interface, and the specs engineers build from. Typical engagement runs eight to sixteen weeks.
$ Product Designer
I’m an independent product designer who takes fuzzy problems from first sketch to shipped v1 — the object model, the flows, the interface, and the specs engineers build from. Below is a small selection of recent work, chosen for the problem more than the pixels.

Services
Most engagements fall into one of four shapes. Whatever the brief, the goal is the same: a product that’s clear, considered, and genuinely usable — and that actually ships.
New products from a blank page — problem framing, the core object model, flows, interface, and the specs engineers build from. Typical engagement runs eight to sixteen weeks.
Tokens, accessible components, and documentation that let several teams build consistently and ship faster. Includes a Figma-to-code workflow and contribution guidelines.
A structured review against WCAG 2.2 AA with prioritised fixes and re-testing. A product that works for everyone, or it isn’t finished.
A focused sprint on one broken journey — onboarding, checkout, or a core workflow — measured against a clear before-and-after metric.
Selected work
Five products across fintech, B2B analytics, design systems, marketplaces, and consumer health. Each write-up covers the role I played, the process I ran, and the outcome we measured after launch.

Product Design · 2025
Shaped a new corporate-card and expense product from a blank page to a shipped v1 — defining the core object model, the receipt-capture flow, and the approvals experience finance teams actually trust.

Product Design · 2025
Rebuilt a dense B2B analytics dashboard around the questions users were actually asking — replacing a wall of charts with a focused, progressively disclosed workspace.

Design Systems · 2024
Built a product-wide design system from scattered patterns — tokens, accessible components, and documentation that three product teams now build on without reinventing the basics.

Product Design · 2024
Reworked the sign-up-to-first-value journey for a two-sided marketplace, cutting a fragmented multi-step setup down to a focused path that gets sellers live fast.

Product Design · 2023
Designed a new consumer health app from the ground up — habit tracking, gentle reminders, and progress views that stay motivating without shaming, built accessible from day one.

How I work
Whatever the product, the shape of the work stays the same: understand deeply, design deliberately, and measure honestly. I’d rather ship one thing that clearly works than five things that might.
Interviews, product analytics, and journey maps before any pixels. I frame the problem before proposing a solution, and I keep the team pointed at outcomes over output.
Frequent, clickable prototypes, regular critique, and specs engineers can build from without guessing. I share early and often so surprises stay small.
Every product gets a metric we agree on up front — activation, completion, retention. If the design doesn’t move it, we learn why and iterate rather than declare victory.

Kind words
A few notes from the people I’ve partnered with. These are neutral placeholder testimonials — replace them with your own once you gather them.
“Took our v1 from a messy doc to a shipped product in a quarter. The object model held up as we scaled, and the whole team finally shared a language for the interface.”
“Rigorous, calm, and genuinely collaborative. Handoff was the smoothest I’ve seen — engineers built straight from the tokens with almost no back-and-forth.”
“Sat with our sellers, listened, and came back with something obviously better. Onboarding that used to stretch across days now takes minutes.”
