Designed a new consumer health app from the ground up — habit tracking, gentle reminders, and progress views that stay motivating without shaming, built accessible from day one.
The work
Process
Framed the behavior-change problem with a research review and eight diary studies, then prototyped a low-friction logging pattern. Tested contrast and screen-reader flows early, and tuned the reminder cadence with a small beta before launch.
Outcome
Day-30 retention landed well above the category benchmark in beta, and the app shipped WCAG AA compliant across every core flow.
